Here's something special just for kids 3rd through 8th grades! it's a fun and interactive re-creation of Civil War Music that children would perform and/or listen to during the late 1800s.
The engagement will be held Thursday, May 16, at Beth-el Heritage Hall, 406 Perry Street, in Helena, from 10 to 11 a.m. There will be an encore performance that afternoon from 2 to 3 p.m. Lead by living history performing artist Vinnie Cheney, admission is free, but registration is required by the end of the day on May 9. During his time with the kids, Cheney will perform and discuss the music that was typical of that period.
